Van Helsing gets a limited-edition steelbook release with 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. Fresh off The Mummy and its sequel, director Stephen Sommers brings together three of Universal’s classic monsters in one big, effects-heavy spectacle.
Hugh Jackman stars as the legendary monster hunter, joining forces with the mysterious Anna Valeris (Kate Beckinsale) to battle Dracula, the Wolf Man, and Frankenstein’s Monster. It’s early-2000s CGI blockbuster filmmaking at full speed, with more focus on action and momentum than subtlety. That over-the-top energy is also a big part of why the movie still has a loyal fanbase.
