The Shining – Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) takes on the job of winter caretaker at the remote Overlook Hotel in Colorado, hoping the solitude will help him overcome his writer’s block. He moves in with his wife, Wendy (Shelley Duvall), and young son, Danny (Danny Lloyd), who is haunted by eerie psychic visions.
As the days pass, Jack struggles with his writing, while Danny’s unsettling premonitions grow stronger. The hotel’s sinister history begins to take hold of Jack, driving him into a violent descent that puts his family in grave danger.
