Shrek gets a 25th anniversary steelbook release on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. The story sends its grumpy ogre hero (Mike Myers) on a reluctant quest to rescue Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), dragged along by a motormouth Donkey (Eddie Murphy), all to win back the swamp that scheming Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) has overrun with fairytale exiles.
What made it land in 2001 still holds. DreamWorks launched a whole franchise off this one. Worth owning if it defined your childhood, or if you want the original on the shelf done right.
