Scary Movie (2000) gets a steelbook release on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. Anna Faris leads an ensemble that includes Carmen Electra, Marlon Wayans, Shannon Elizabeth, Shawn Wayans, Cheri Oteri, and Jon Abrahams in the parody that took a chainsaw to late-90s slashers.
The plot loosely tracks a group of teens stalked by a familiar masked killer a year after they covered up a death, but the story is mostly a delivery system for gags aimed at Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and their peers.
Keenen Ivory Wayans directs, and the spoof landed hard enough to spawn a franchise.
